Mangamahoe update: tree thinning

The trees around the front and mid trails at Lake Mangamahoe will be getting thinned over the next month or so. As a result some tracks will be closed for a short period of time and there may be branches on the trails.

Please respect any closed trails and stay tuned for upcoming working bee action to clear the fallen branches...

New cemetery back up before council for a decision on location

Article in Friday 28th May Daily News newspaper - the club will be back before the full council on Tuesday 1st June to remind the councillors of what the effect of putting the cemetery where it has been proposed will be on the outdoor recreational facilities especially mountain biking within the New Plymouth district.

Taranaki Secondary Schools Sports Association MTB

Sunday 23rd; secondary school riders competed in both XC and DH events at Mangamahoe as part of the Taranaki Secondary Schools Sports Association annual series of events.

The club runs this event in conjunction with Sport Taranaki.

Annual General Meeting held

The second AGM of the club as an incorporated society was held in the staff room of Marfell School on a wet Sunday afternoon, 13 members attended.
