One Hour XC Race this Sunday

It's the second of the one hour XC races this Sunday:

This time racing will be at New Plymouth's Mangamahoe Forest with a mix of easy terrain to ensure that even young and old can compete and short challenging sections to keep it interesting for more experienced racers.

Laps will take around 10 minutes to complete and the whole race will run for just an hour.

The race will start at 10.00 am on Sunday 1 August with registration from 9.30.

Entry fees will be $10 maximum (cheaper for juniors and New Plymouth Mountain Bike Club members) and all the money raised goes back into trail maintenance and development.

A yellow riding jacket was left behind at the first race at Colson Road. If this is yours, you need to contact Janet who took it home for you (06 753 7389 - evenings).

Results from the 1st 1 hour XC race at Colson Road

There was some great results that happened over the weekend:

All the XC tracks at Mangamahoe have been cleared of the tree pruning/thinning debris left by the NPDC contractors. This has been a monumental effort by Craig and the track crew and those who have put in the time over the past weeks clearing the existing tracks for all now to ride.
